Stowe Marathon Information

What is the Stowe Marathon?
The Stowe Marathon is run as a community-based not-for-profit volunteer driven organization. Established in 2000, this event is about perpetuating the mission of our two benefit organizations: CREW (Community Recreation Exercise & Wellness) and Copley Hospital.

Our goal is provide the finest running event focusing on quality, value and fun! We are USATF sanctioned and certified, making us a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon. We believe and have strategically positioned the race to be open and supportive to families and friends. With that as our driving goal, it is easy to understand why we designed the course with the help of a landscape architect, go the extra mile to provide an awesome post-race celebration and why our goal is to never grow beyond 800-1,000 runners, as well as the many other small details that were designed specifically to maximize your enjoyment in the quintessential village of Stowe, Vermont.

Post-Race Party
To celebrate your victory, the Stowe Marathon invites you to the Post-Race Celebration, to be held immediately following the race at Topnotch Resort. Food-beverages-music-fun! Handmade burgers, snappy hotdogs, fresh salads and the finest handcrafted brews (courtesy of Rock Art Brewing) that Northern Vermont has to offer. And...a band to boot!

Volunteer Opportunities
Help support the fun! Volunteer for the weekend events by calling Kelly at (802) 888-0166. We can always use an extra pair of hands.
